Comparing to the other Western European capitals, Amsterdam is quite small city but offers a range of attractions to suit all tastes and budgets. The city is home to some of the world’s finest museums and art galleries like the Van Gogh Museum, the Rembrandt’s Museum and amazing Rijksmuseum with the collection of over 5000 paintings.
For those less interested in art there is Madame Tussauds, a tour through old Heineken brewery and very touching House of Anne Frank – a young Jewish girl who was hiding with her family from the Nazis. Her diary was published in 1947, two years after her death in the concentration camp Bergen – Belsen.
One of the best experience I had in Amsterdam were long walks by the canal and evening boat ride. Here are some of my photo memories while walking down the streets of Amsterdam.
